Limestone is a natural product that is quarried. It varies in appearance from different quarries throughout the world and individual regions of the same country.

Limestone is a rock formed from the skeletons of marine creatures being deposited on the shallow sea bed 300 million years ago. Fossilized remains can be seen along with silt, sand and anything else that sank to the sea bed, making each piece of limestone unique. Fossils, coal veins, sand and fault lines are alll natural features of this material and contribute to its beauty and uniqueness.

Limestone is a porous material therefore it is recommended that a stone sealer is used once it has been fitted to act as a protector from day to day stains and marks.

Fireplaces made from Limestone will be delivered in separate pieces securley packed in one crate. The delivery drivers will help you examine each piece for any damage before leaving.
